Tramas: tecnologías, tramas, territorios
Have you thought about the socio-environmental impacts of digital technologies in your country?
Tramas is an action-research project that contributes to unveil the socio-environmental conflicts surrounding the digital cloud and AI development in Latin America.
We listened to land defenders in Querétaro, Jalisco (Mexico), Penco (Chile), and Matopiba (Brazil) about data centers, rare earth minerals, toxic waste, and the digitalization of agribusiness monoculture.
All these struggles are intertwined!
The same colonial logic that exploits minerals in Chile, poisons rivers in Mexico, and appropriates lands in Brazil feeds millionaire corps.
We document challenges and also resistance!
