Description

This awarded campaign (Premios Frida) was one of the first online campaigns made in Chile (2009). It was thought as an activist platform to organize people in favour to add more exceptions to the Chilean Copyright Law.

Throughout the campaign, different actions were organized:
- People uploaded pics on Flickr with cartels saying that “Fair Uses Are Not Crime”: https://www.flickr.com/search/?q=nosoydelincuente
- Viral videos and illustrations were created.
- Street interventions: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nosoydelincuente/3549141633/

After one year of campaigning, finally more exceptions to the Chilean Copyright Law were added: https://www.derechosdigitales.org/1375/el-senado-da-luz-verde-a-los-usos-justos-en-chile/

Even though the website is not available now, you can read some of the history of our intervention in the current Chilean Copyright Law on Wikipedia (Spanish): http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ley_de_Propiedad_Intelectual_%28Chile%29
